About Jacob

Jacob Simpson serves as a Pastor in Brooklyn, New York. In his free time, he takes up his passion for writing mystery stories. Always more interested in the "whydunnit" than the "whodunnit", Jacob's urban-based tales evaluate the social conditions of those who inhabit the world, while expanding the idea of crime fiction beyond figuring out who the murderer is. He cites Ross Macdonald, Walter Mosley, Ellen Raskin, Lawrence Block, Elmore Leonard, and Tana French as major influences. A proud native of Baltimore, Maryland, he lives in Westchester, New York with his wife, son, and two cats.
